A bit disappointed with them as I had a burst pipe under my sink and they were very quick (I was impressed) charged me... £120 for a 15 min job to fit a £4 replacement pipe (I can understand this as it is a call out). My problem started after the same pipe was leaking shortly after. I called multiple times and at first they answered and said they would send someone (no one came) I also did the mistake in saying it's not an emergency as I have turned the valve off on the pipe to stop the leak in the mean time (now hot water does not work through that tap) after about 4 calls they just ignore my calls so can't get through to them. Please be careful if looking to get work done by then. Better to get work done by a reliable company.read more

Very bad attitude from their customer service. I’ve been give a slot 10:30 until 12:30 today Nov 11th Since morning I... am waiting for them and I cancelled many appointments even an emergency appointment with GP because I had a surgery recently. I called them afternoon at 13:00 they said they people nearby and will take 5 min to arrive. I called again at 13:20 a lady very rudely saying that I am testing her patient and asking me either to wait more 30 min or have to arrange it another day. I told her I am traveling abroad and this would be the only time I could arrange for their visit.She was unprofessional, very extra rude to me and made me upset. Would highly recommend STP&H. On a Friday afternoon my kitchen tap sprung a leak and I had to turn the water off to it.... During the very cold weather the main living room radiator to my flat was not heating at all. There was also a water... leak to the boiler. We had received a South Thames flyer recently so phoned to ask for the price of a new double radiator and possible repair to the boiler leak.My initial call was around 4 p.m. and incredibly I had an engineer call at 8.30 the following morning. His diagnosis of the radiator was that a flushing of the system would rectify the problem which would be much cheaper than replacement.Sadly, on opening the combination boiler he identified several areas of rust and furring and allowed me to fully inspect each. There was no pressure on their side but clearly the cost of any potential repairs, even if they could be carried out, would have been considerable so I questioned how much a replacement would be.Within 3 hours I received a very reasonable quotation for a new boiler with a 10-year warranty. As I agreed to the quote, I received a call asking if they could install the new boiler on the Monday morning, to which I readily agreed. I then received a further call asking if it could be brought forward to the Friday, the day after the call.The engineers arrived at the agreed time and worked nonstop during the day. The old boiler was decommissioned and removed from site, along with all packing and waste from the new one. The engineers were also polite and left the area spotless.I won't say I was sceptical but having bled the main radiator and only having minor heat at the margins after, it did seem it was beyond saving, so they could easily have added the cost of replacement to the bill. However, their honest appraisal proved correct and kept costs down.So, 48 hours after my first enquiry we have a warm flat again. Given the service received and great value for money I will definitely be using South Thames for all future services, needed to keep the warranty valid, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking at having a replacement boiler or repairs carried out to an existing one.read more
